A Little Bit About Me
I was born this way... I spent a lot of time decorating and redecorating my dollhouse as a young girl while growing up in Dallas, Texas. I attended the University of San Diego. I studied art in Aix-en-Provence, France during a study abroad and interior design at the San Francisco Art Institute. After a decade producing events in fashion, the arts, and corporate America, I took time away from professional life to focus on family life. However, I was never far away from design. I've spent the last two decades helping people create spaces that are lovely and livable. This "side hustle" business has officially blossomed into Amanda Loveland Design.
My personal philosophy about design is that it's not about perfection or symmetry: it's about personal style, balance, texture, proportion, functionality and mood. Each person prioritizes these elements in a different way. When I decorate or style a home, I think about these elements in layers. It's an honor to help someone achieve their perfect balance in their surroundings. I am passionate about helping my clients elevate the aesthetics of their home or office in a way that is unpretentious and approachable. The physical space we inhabit changes the way we feel, the way we work and the way we live.
I am willing to go the distance for my clients and believe that the experience should be fun and streamlined. Flexibility, creativity and communication are the three tenets of my approach to client relationships and project management. There is nothing more fundamental to our sense of well-being than the space we inhabit... let's create something lovely and livable together!
